[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 460px; padding: 10px; background-color: #e1e1e1; border-top: 10px #C4C4C4 solid; border-bottom: 10px #C4C4C4 solid;] IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY OR RISK OUR WRATH ! ▍ RATING tomishima gakuen is rate pg-13 to keep with the proboards terms of service. there will be no explicit sex scenes or bloody battles. romance may include anything from holding hands to kissing, but if it starts getting to physical fade-to-black. fight scenes work the same way, a few slaps and a little blood are fine bit intense fights need to be faded out. ▍ WORD COUNT we welcome all levels but keep in mind that we are a literate site. you need to give others something to work from when you rp. out wc minimum is 200 words, which isn't really all that much. but since some post more than others, try to match others' post lengths if you can. be descriptive. ▍ GRAMMAR AND SPELLING again, we're a literate site. we expect you to do a little spell checking before you post. and some grammar checking can't hurt either. there are plenty of sites that can help. most web browsers include a spell checking system. and you can always type your post in word. ▍ ABSENCES if you're going somewhere, we'd like to know about it. we will be holding activity checks on a monthly basis once we've got a good few members. and if you don't check in, and you haven't let us know why you'll be away, you'll probably be cleared from the site. we wouldn't want to delete any accounts that are going to be used. ▍ DISPLAY NAMES no matter what name you use to create the account, you character's name needs to be the display name. all names should be in the 'lastname firstname' format. you're free to add a comma after the last name for english names if you want. this makes the site look uniform and helps to sort the members better. ▍ PROFANITY a few words here and there, in character, is okay but we don't want anyone cussing every other word. we ask that there be no cussing outside of the ic boards though and we don't want that kind of language in the chat. a slip up ooc now and then is fine but don't make it a habit. ▍ ACCOUNTS the character limit currently tops out at two. each character needs it's own account and if we see the numbers getting too uneven we'll have to ban certain character groups. ( you can purchase additional character 'slots' in the site shop ! ) ▍ RESPECT you're expected to respect everyone here. friendly sites are always the nicest to be on, so don't go around being rude and mean to anyone. don't pester people for posts, don't rush them on anything, and don't go trying to make them feel bad about something. ▍ THE STAFF we have the final say in everything but we also try to keep it all fair. we'll try our best to help solve any problems you have, be it with the site or with another member. so don't hesitate to come to us, we're friendly enough and we really are here to help. and if it's a staff member you have a problem with, come to me and i'll hear you out and get it sorted. ▍ LIQUID TIME you can be in more that one thread at a time. since events may overlap and happen on top of each other, the staff will give you an idea of the timeline and what events happen when. but other than that, you can be in as many threads as you can handle. ▍ CHARACTERS no mary-sues or gary-stus. characters need to have some depth to them, they can't be perfect. try to make your character unique and interesting, someone that other's will want to rp with. ▍ IMAGES there will be no pornographic material of any kind. this goes for all image types. keep signatures equal to or less than 500 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall. avatars are 100 pixel squares. keep the images character relevant. ▍ ADVERTISING we have a spot for it so keep it there. we don't want it anywhere else on the site. a little bit of advertising will be acceptable in the member's chit-chat board but keep it out of the chat box. if someone advertises via pm and you didn't ask for it, let a member of the staff know and we'll take care of it. ▍ DO NOTS there will be no spamming, god-modding, or anything else of the like. you'll be banned for things like this without any further warning, as this should be enough. we also don't like haking, so don't do that either. ▍ LABELS putting tags at the end of thread titles makes things a lot easier, so be sure to use them. open threads should be marked with [open] or [o], closed threads with [closed] or [c], reserved with [reserved] or [r], and invite only with [invite] or . often times, character names are used as tags so you're free to do that as well. by rimy ♥ of btn!
