[/style] [STYLE=background-color: #f1f1f1; -moz-border-radius: 1em; -webkit-border-radius: 1em; border-top: 5px #C4C4C4 solid; border-bottom: 5px #C4C4C4 solid; padding: 10px; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; color: #535353;] ▍ TOMISHIMA GAKUEN is an original boarding academy for boys. encompassing junior high and senior high, tomishima has six years of schooling. students are divided into member groups based on their year, rather than key words or their area of focus. tomishima gakuen is set on the fictional island of tomishima, a fantastical place located off the south-eastern coast of japan. as such, many of it's attendees and faculty are of japanese origin, though the academy caters to foreigners as well. while this makes it something of an alternate universe, all characters are still human. no strange creatures roaming around or anything like that. ▍ HAND-PICKED you have been specially selected after graduating from elementary school for an artistic talent, congratulations! here, you'll spend your next six years studying and enhancing your skills in the world of art. acting, dance, writing. anything particularly artistic has a place within the academy. ▍ MONEY those not from the grand island of japan have to pay their way into the school. while hand-picked students still have a tuition to pay, it's not nearly as expensive as it is for foreigners and those that weren't lucky enough to get noticed. all the same, students are treated no differently so long as they have a knack for something the school has to offer. ▍ STUDENTS your fellow students' ages range from thirteen to eighteen, unless some special exception as been made. dorm rooms are separated by year, each room housing three students. students don't have the luxury of switching rooms, so you'd best be civil with your roommates. ▍ FACULTY the staff of the academy are all upwards of twenty-four years old, again unless a special exception has been made. though it's a boys' school, faculty aren't limited to only men and there are quite a few female teachers around. they were selected specially for the school. and student teacher relationships are strictly prohibited! ▍ THE PLOT our plot is user-based. this means that you drive your own story lines for your character. site-wide events will be held for holidays like christmas, halloween, etc. and we are always open to suggestions and ideas from members for other events. so feel free to brainstorm with us!
